Allvision's Andrew Haslam  has been retained by a multi-national manufacturing organisation to oversee the collection and processing of disclosure material.  The year long project will include the identification, collection and processing of 1TB of Electronically Store Information (ESI) as well as scanning, coding and processing some 10,000 paper files.  Andrew will be resonsible for the production of procurement material, selection of external vendors, co-ordination between the client, vendors and law firms as well as overall project management. 

Allvision and Legal Inc Workshop at IQPC Conference (May 2009)

At the recent IQPC conference, Allvision's Andrew Haslam  working with leading consultancy Legal Inc hosted a workshop entitled "THE ANATOMY OF PRACTICAL DISCLOSURE AND THE BODY OF EVIDENCE"  As seasoned litigators will testify, there is often a huge gulf in theoretical best practice and the realities of disclosure on the ground.  Using three client case studies, with those clients in attendance, the workshop looked at the key elements of effective disclosure, the challenges at the coal-face, the management of clients, process and technology, all with a view to helping delegates devise consistent and proven methodologies for successful litigation.

Allvision to speak at ILTA Insight Day (March 2009)

Allvision's Andrew Haslam  is part of a panel speaking at the UK ILTA's Insight day on 31 March.  He will be talking on the topic of:

Allvision Provides Project Office consultancy to Multi-National (April 2008)

 Allvision's Carla Pomeroy has been has engaged by a multi-national company to provide consultancy on the documenting and management of a Prince based project office.

Allvision Articles (April 2008)

 Andrew Haslam  has authored a number of articles which have been published in different sites.
The first was on Litigation Readiness within the US and the lessons emerging from LegalTech which might be applicable to UK firms. The article is on the Society for Computers and Law website, if you are not a member, you can download it here.  The second paper provides an analytical framework of the Litigation lifecycle and where various products fit into the different stages.  Very useful if you want to make sure you are comparing "apples with apples".  It is on the Legal Technology Insider web site here, or you can download it here.

Allvision and LegalTech 2008 (February 2008)

Allvision Comment on the Changes to the US Federal Rules (Dec 2006)

On 1st December 2006, the US Federal Rules of Procedure changed to take account of Electronic material.  Allvision's Andrew Haslam co-authored two articles on the changes and their significance, one for World Tobacco as both an online synopsis  and a printed article .  The second was for IT Law Today as a hard copy article .

Allvision obtain Advanced EDD Certification  (Mar 2006)

Allvision's  Andrew Haslam was the only UK consultant to attend Kroll Ontrack's inaugural Advanced E-Discovery certification course 23 - 24 March 2006.  The detailed syllabus covered a range of topical issues and explored the most significant developments in the area of EDD.

Allvision attends Litigation Management Forum  (Sep 2005)

Allvision's Andrew Haslam   attended the inaugural Litigation Management Forum chaired by Richard Susskind in London on 21 September.  The forum addressed the many issues facing the litigation support community with particular emphasis on the rapid changes in the area of electronic discovery.  Andrew was an active participant in the workshop discussions and led a debate on the emerging use of "Native" review and production.

Allvision announced that Carla Pomeroy has become an Allvision consultant.  Carla joins Allvision as a project manager after a career in telecommunications and is available for assignments from December 2004.

Allvision's  Andrew Haslam has become the first UK consultant to complete Kroll Ontrack's E-Discovery certification course.  Andrew is now fully qualified to provide advice on the collection, processing, review and production of electronic documents – for resolution of important investigations and litigation matters.

Following on from the review work carried out by Allvision's Linda Spiers , the company has been asked to help RPC implement the selected solution.  Linda will continue in her role as project manager and oversee the configuration and deployment of the chosen application.

As a result of feedback from the 2003 Legal IT Forum Allvision's Andrew Haslam was asked to provide detailed advice to Wragge & Co on all aspects of litigation support software as part of the firm's evaluation of their requirements in this area.

Knowledge Management Project nominated for Legal IT Awards

Allvision's Andrew Haslam has been at the heart of a Knowledge Management initiative in Lovells which has now been twice nominated for Legal IT Awards in the category of "Best Knowledge Management project".  Full details of last year's nomination are here.    The project is on-going and a number of additional developments are planned for the next year.
